Unique and Captivating...

Engaging graphics and clever gameplay combine to create a never-before-seen experience only possible on the iPhone.

Gaia is simple: pieces fall onto the screen and link together to form complex blocks. By rotating the iPhone and eliminating the right blocks with a touch, a player can grow a larger block and earn more points. In this way, Gaia rewards deep thinking players while remaining simple and intuitive.

We take pride in Gaia's satisfying responsiveness and ease of play. So be careful, you may find yourself addicted. We did.

- Includes over 20 hand-illustrated nature themed pieces

- Watch out for Toxic, Radioactive, and Biological hazards!

- Touch sign your highscores with your initials (or draw a picture)

- Points multipliers and bonus levels

- Soothing sound effects and autosave on quit or phone call

- No language - uses only universal symbols - so anyone can play!

I want more!

I got this a few weeks ago and it's a keeper. The artwork drew me in, something I find happening more and more as I buy apps. The concept is different than that of games like Bejeweled, where you're just swapping. The developer has made great use of physics and the iphone here, and the more you play, the more you use that to your advantage as you try to advance through the levels. Trying to clear every single piece from the board at the end of a level has become my main goal, beyond moving up to higher levels. I think I've only made it to 19, and am dying to see how far beyond that I can go. I really do love the artwork here, and the only suggestion I have is maybe another mode of play, like endless or puzzle or something (so when I "die" at level 19 I have something easy to just enjoy the artwork). It's never crashed once, even before the update, and apps that are well-built deserve praise. I keep checking to see if Quicksand has released anything else, because after this, I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it. Great game anyone should love!

Superb Game

I have played several iPhone games and this is right now my favorite. It is utterly mesmerizing, with enough of a challenge to keep you occupied happily for hours. In fact, I would suggest to the developers that the game offer the opportunity to save multiple unfinished games so one can choose which one to resume. Also, in-game help is really essential; I had to visit the website to discover the essence of the game (after playing it several time): that it needs to be constantly rotated! With that knowledge, the game proves practically endless and incredibly engaging. In essence, the game itself is just about perfect - only its presentation could use a bit of improvement. Wonderful!

Can't Stop Playing

This game is a clever and addictive variation on the Jewel Quest style of game play. The twist is that 3 or more matching pieces that touch, fuse together into one unit. Touching a fused unit, destroys them and awards points based upon a complex calculation that includes the units size, the current level, and the number of times you have destroyed a unit of that size, plus any multipliers that appear on some units. Instead of new pieces dropping from the top you can twist the device to control which direction that the pieces slides towards and where the new pieces emerge much like you do in Trisim. The fused units lead to interesting play as odd shapes may block new pieces from emerging from some directions and some pieces get locked inside larger snake like units. As the levels ramp up obstacles crop up with greater frequency. Every 5 levels a special timed speed level appears. The artwork is appealing with the fused pieces creating an ever changing landscape. I have downloaded a ton of games, and this is one of my favorites. I'm surprised that is not more popular. For the price, you can't go wrong. Highly Recommended.
